The shell, constructed from a plastic resin, is covered in Tuscan leather, tanned through a centuries-old process by master tanners that uses natural oils, rendering the leather soft, pliable and strong. Our Tuscan leather receives different pigments that are not mixed prior to being laid on the hide: instead, the colors are applied in such a way that allows the eye itself to mix them through the process of color perception. The staining is performed by hand, with each section of the hide implicitly unique. The natural texture is especially pronounced, donning it a dynamic, graphic character.
